Kalyana Centre for Mindfulness is a place to discover the tools and techniques leading to seeing and feeling the world both inner and outer with more clarity, understanding and compassion. The ancient methods of developing mindfulness has helped countless people all over the world to create less stress and difficulties and to come to a place of inner peace and harmony.
Kalyana Centre located on the Dingle Peninsula at the mouth of the stunning Moc a Na Bo valley is a beautifully renovated farmhouse and barn surrounded by lovely gardens. It is a place to rest and reconnect with oneself. Kalyana Centre teachers offer classes, workshops and retreats at the centre and at other locations in Ireland.
Kalyana is a word from the Pali language which has many meanings such as beautiful, uplifting, lovely, generous, beneficial, auspicious, good companion. |

Timothy Sweeney (from California) has been studying and practicing different forms of Meditation for over 30 years. He has spent over 2 and a half years years in silent retreats in meditation centres in the US and Europe. He currently teaches meditation retreats and Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) throghout Ireland. Timothy has worked as a teacher, pilot and builder. He is also an avid gardener, a parent and is interested in sustainable living. |

Eva Bruha (from Switzerland) came to live in Ireland in 2003. She has spent many years exploring the voice and experiencing its healing power. In 1990 she went on a personal pilgrimage for 10 years, practicing Mindfulness Meditation in monasteries and meditation centres in the US, Europe and Asia. She has spent more than two years in silent retreats and was ordained as a Buddhist Nun in Burma. Her inspiration draws from the wisdom of all spiritual traditions. |

Both Eva and Timothy’s goal is to make Mindfulness Meditation accessible to everyone regardless of age and cultural or religious background.
All classes, workshops and retreats are suitable for people with or without meditation experience. |
